I'm Building 6 Micro-Businesses in 6 Months
Inspired by Pieter Levels, the Indie Hacker community, and the My First Million podcast, I have decided to launch 6 micro-businesses in 6 months.
Why are you doing this?
I have a ton of ideas! However, I don’t think I should pick & focus on only one project for a long period of time without the proper validation. It’s easy to get biased and ignore the flaws in our ideas. Hence, starting this month I will be launching a new micro-business back-to-back. Besides being fun, it will help me refine my ideas.
Why are you telling us about this?
By announcing my plans and building in public, I’m hoping it will help hold me accountable and keep me on track to launching 6 micro-businesses in 6 months.
Who is on your team?
It will just be me for now.
Why not do the original 12 startups in 12 months that Pieter Levels did?
Most people associate startups with tech products, whereas what I’m building isn’t limited to that. As for why I’m not deploying 12 products in 12 months, to be honest, I’m afraid I can’t deliver all 12 on time. It’s not easy. We all have fears. That is why I’m sticking to 6 for now.
What micro-businesses are you building?
I’m pretty much open. But I would say most will be in the education space. Though I might deviate from that if I find a promising idea.
